Our Multi-Mode Fiber cables feature 50/125 or 62.5/125-micron cores for local data center and enterprise applications, operating at 850 nm and 1300 nm wavelengths. These larger core diameters increase modal bandwidth, especially in optimized OM3 and OM4 fiber types, allowing for high-speed data transfer up to 40 Gbps over distances of 300 meters using vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). The graded-index profile of MMF cables minimizes intermodal dispersion and ensures uniform data transmission in local-area networks (LAN) and intra-building installations. Using laser-based light sources, the SMF cables reduce optical losses and maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), critical for maintaining data integrity in dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, SONET, and long-haul data centers. The narrow core limits modal dispersion, ensuring consistent high-speed transmission at up to 100 Gbps over vast distances.
